About Us

Kyocera offers a broad line of semiconductor package products and services based on advanced ceramic and organic material technologies. In North America, these products and services are provided by the Semiconductor Components Group of Kyocera International, Inc., a subsidiary of the Kyocera group, that was founded in California in 1969, with manufacturing operations in San Diego since 1971.
We design and mass-produce microelectronic package solutions for the industry's most demanding requirements.
In 1987, we established a maquiladora plant in Tijuana, Mexico: Kyocera Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. (KMX). Our expanding capabilities both in San Diego and Tijuana allow us to increase throughput and shorten cycle times for customers. At the same time, the continued growth of Kyocera's North American Operations has created new divisions and entirely new companies in a wide range of markets.
Over the past six decades, Kyocera's Semiconductor Components Group has grown strategically both in North America and abroad by supporting the development of wireless, optical and satellite telecommunications; mobile computing; data centers; automotive and aerospace electronics; medical devices; IoT applications; and AI. We will continue to grow by consistently delivering next-generation package performance ahead of market demand.
